YIMOU is one of eight runners in the 5f handicap at Windsor tonight (6.30pm) and he should get the quick ground he likes as the going is Good to Firm (Good in Places) and it has been a dry day at Windsor.
He was pulled out of the “Dash” at Epsom due to Good to Soft Ground, so hopefully, that decision will pay dividends tonight. Interestingly, one of his market rivals, Spoof, has been declared a non-runner and he likes soft ground, so conditions should be ideal for Yimou. He’s a dual course winner including once over course and distance, so there’s a lot in his favour.
George Downing takes the ride and he’s won on him before, so hopefully, he’ll come up the stands rail where the ground is quicker and can make the decision to pull the horse out from Epsom the right one! A Sure Welcome looks a big danger and has been well supported in the market but the 4/1 about Yimou looks generous.
