HAT-TRICK seeking Yimou is favourite this afternoon at Windsor in the 5.50, an eight-runner sprint handicap and he has every chance in an admittedly open race.
He has been quietly impressive in his last two runs, winning at Newbury and Yarmouth over 6f handicaps off marks of 68 and 75. Today, he runs of 78 and a 3lb rise for his last win may not be enough to stop him. He’ll love the fast ground and has Martin Dwyer, who has ridden him to both victories, doing the steering. He’s a worthy 15/8 favourite and should take the beating.
Tangramm is the other stable runner today, when one of 10 lining up for the 10f handicap at Chelmsford (4.20pm) and he’s more difficult to fathom. He’s well handicapped but at the age of seven isn’t getting any younger and can save a bit for himself. If on a going day, he’d have every chance and at 8/1 might be worth chancing each-way.
