DARK MAGIC, an unlucky loser last time out at Lingfield when meeting trouble in running, should run well at Kempton tonight (8pm) over the same 6f trip but the wide drawn son of Invincible Spirit is very weak in the market at 13/2.
Nine go to post for the 4yo+ handicap and despite Adam Kirby having been booked again, the horse is virtually friendless with backers. This is probably due to the wide draw and the fact that the stable has not been among the winners for 35 runs and 42 days.
However, the luck has to change at some point and Dark Magic is a massive each-way price.
Half an hour earlier at 7.30pm, Fighting Temeraire sees the racecourse for the first time in 426 days in a 7f handicap. The mount of Rob Hornby, a 33/1 shot, will come on for the run.
