Nezar – each-way claims at Wolverhampton
NEZAR is on a long-losing streak of 19 races but there’s no doubting he’s well handicapped and he runs in the lucky last tonight at Wolverhampton (8.30pm) with a new jockey on board, Callum Shepherd.
The 10yo son of Mastercraftsman is ideally suited by 7f at Wolverhampton and that’s what he has in store tonight as 10 line up for the 0-60 handicap. He’s drawn six and has solid each-way claims at around 12/1. The favourite, All You Wish, the mount of Adam Kirby, finished behind Dancinginthewoods at Leicester ten days ago and dropped in grade, is a big threat.
Laurentia runs in the opener at Dunstall Park (5.30pm) over 1m 1/12f and this course and distance winner is on a winning mark. The fourth of her four wins last year was off 60, which she runs off today but Sophie Ralston, who has won on her twice, takes off 5lbs. Weak in the market, she has each-way claims at 18/1 if they go a good pace allowing Laurentia to pick them off late on.
