Dean Ivory – yard in great form
VARSOVIAN is Dean’s only runner today, a 25/1 outsider in an eight-runner handicap over 7f at Newmarket, off time 7.35pm.
He has won six times on the all-weather over 6f but his turf experience is very limited, having only run three times on the grass in 23 starts. However, he has not been in great form this year and has not won since April of last year. Today, he sports a first time visor and maybe that will spark a revival.
Renato Souza rides and while he is the rank outsider and it would take a leap of faith to back him, given the form of the yard, he couldn’t be totally discounted!
