TWIN SAILS is one of two runners at York today for Dean Ivory and last year’s dual winner looks interesting in first time blinkers in the three-year-old seven furlong Apprentice Handicap at 5.05pm.

He has yet to recapture last season’s form but is slipping down the weights as a result.  Today he runs off his lowest ever mark of 93, having been as high as 105.  The top weight has Jack Duern aboard and the Good, Good to Firm in places going will suit.  The son of Sir Percy looks overpriced at 10/1 and may be worth an each-way look.

Dean’s other runner, Golden Amber runs in the Group 3 sprint for Fillies and Mares over 6f (4pm) and at the ratings, the 33/1 shot looks to have it all to do under jockey P J McDonald.
