TWILIGHT BAY HAS IT ALL TO PROVE

Twilight Bay – runs at Wolverhampton

TWILIGHT BAY runs in the 7pm at Wolverhampton today, a 0-60 handicap over 7f and the 3yo daughter of Twilight Song has it all to prove.

Rated 46, she works like a much better horse at home but has had problems with being in season almost constantly.  Having had a break, we hope today’s first time blinkers, a good draw, the step back up to 7f and Stefano Cherchi in the saddle claiming 3lbs will work the oracle.  She’s the 50/1 outsider of the party.  Hopefully, she runs better than her odds.  Good luck to Solario Racing (Childwickbury).

Amy probably has better chances of a winner at Wolverhampton with Catwalk Model in the fillies’ restricted novice stakes over 6f at 5.30pm.  Fourth and third on her first two starts under 5lb claimer, Frederick Larson, she has the assistance today of Hollie Doyle and at 5/1, looks worth an each-way look.

At Yarmouth, Fillyfudge has been well supported into 5/1 for the 1m2f handicap (3pm) with George Wood on board and if the market has it right, she too has an each-way chance on her handicap debut.

The stable’s first runner of the day is Angel’s Whisper, a 16/1 chance in another 1m2f handicap, this time at Windsor in the 2.50.  Sh’es had a long and consistent season in France, so this could be a race too far.  If not and with Callum Hutchinson claiming 5lbs, she’d have an each-way squeak thought Dame Ethel Smyth looks a more likely possibility for the Gosdens.
