Trust Me – well supported at Chelmsford
TRUST ME and ARCHDEACON are the two stable runners today, both at Chelmsford in the 5.15 and 5.45 respectively and it is the former which has come in for significant market support from 28/1 into 12/1.
He is one of 16 runners in the first division of the 10 furlongs 0-55 handicap for 3yos and upwards and George Downing rides. Ths is his first time over 1m2f and he’s not certain to stay but clearly those who’ve backed him think he will. It’s not a great race and the son of Shamardal has always worked better than he’s showed on the track.
Archdeacon, also the mount of George Downing is one of 14 runners in the second division of the same handicap but is weak in the market at 33/1. He’s only 1lb higher than his facile course and distance win in May of last year. If he consented to put his best foot forward, he’d go close but that’ s big “if!”
