Tropics – has chance at Chelmsford (7.40pm)
TROPICS seeks revenge on Lord Riddiford at Chelmsford this evening in the 7.40, a 5f handicap and the stable runner, who was beaten 1/2 length by him is 11lbs better off including Sophie Ralston’s 7lb claim.
There are two non-runners in the race, leaving seven to go to post. Tropics is well drawn in three and the triple course winner, including two over course and distance, looks good value at 5/1 to get his head back in front.
Lord Riddiford is still a danger as he is a lightly raced 4yo compared with Tropics who is in the twilight of his career. Royal Birth is another danger and the mount of Oisin Murphy who goes to Chelmsford from Royal Ascot.
