- Tropics – widest draw at Wolves
TROPICS aims to end his season on a high following three wins earlier in the year when lining up in a 0-105 handicap over 5f at Wolverhampton this evening (6.45pm) but he has the widest draw to overcome.
Drawn 10 of 10, the 10-year-old son of Speightstown will have to be on song this evening especially over the minimum trip. While he has won twice this year over 5f, those victories were at Chelmsford and he may just struggle tonight at Dunstall Park. Robert Winston rides the 16/1 shot who has an each-way squeak but who will probably find the market leaders, Corinthia Knight and Courageous John too tough.
An hour later, the stable has Classic Star making his handicap debut in a 7f handicap off a mark of 67 which looks a shade high. Not well drawn in eight of ten, the 2yo Sea The Moon gelding has to improve significantly on his last two runs to figure tonight under Jack Duern.
