TROPICS, Dean Ivory’s stable star has been raised four pounds by the handicapper to his highest ever mark of 117 after his nail-biting second in the Darley July Cup last Saturday.
The seven-year-old son of Speightstown has improved year on year since he joined Dean Ivory after going through the ring for just 2,500 guineas. A $280,000 dollar foal, he was resold for $700,000 as a yearling. He has now won £469,000 in prize money. What a shrewd purchase!
Tropics’ race record reads very well. He has won eight out of 31 races ( a strike rate of 31%) which has included three Listed races and a Group Three.
