KAYAKS, canoes, cagoules, waterproofs, brollies…they can all go into storage as summer’s here!
This week end, many parts of the country enjoyed the sunniest and warmest week end since the brief warm spell back in May and it looks as though temperatures could soar this week into the dizzy high 20s celcius.
This of course is all good news for everyone in racing, for whom this has been a frustrating summer with so many meetings abandoned. At last we will get some decent, quick ground. I notice that Bath, which was Good to Soft, Soft in places last Thursday when they raced, is already Good to Firm, Good in places and come race day this Thursday it will probably be Firm! Fantastic news for Roman Senate who is entered up although he may not get in due to the unseasonably high level of entries because so many meetings have been cancelled.
Our two-year-olds, Chiltern Secret and Gunning For Glory have been making good progress and are still scheduled to make their racecourse debuts this summer. Both show up nicely at home and we are very much looking forward to getting them onto the track. There are limited shares available, so if you would like to come and see them on the gallops, please call the Racing Office on 01442 877 597 or email us at info@solarioracing.com.
