THE STABLE runs three at Lingfield today on the all-weather, Angel’s Whisper, George Morland and Chateau d’If. All three look interesting, particularly the first two who were both last time out winners.
Angel’s Whisper was impressive at Newmarket last time out and looks to have sound each-way chances at around 9/2 in the opener at the Surrey track, a mile handicap, due off at 1pm. Still below a winning mark, the grey mare can go close under 3lb claimer, Harry Davies, who won on her last time.
Thirty-five minutes later at 1.35pm, George Morland seeks back-to-back Lingfield wins but needs to prove stepping up to a mile from 7f is within his grasp. If he copes with the trip, he has each-way claims at 5/1 under 5lb apprentice, Frederick Larson.
Finally, Chateau d’If is a 10/1 shot to repeat his course and distance win back in January off a 5lb higher mark in the lucky last, a 10 furlong handicap at 5.03pm. Harry Davies’ 3lb claim will be useful and he could be overpriced in an admittedly trappy final race on the card.
