DEAN IVORY could get off to a good start to the year with three live chances at Chelmsford today, courtesy of LAURENTIA (4.30pm), DORS TOYBOY (5.30pm) and PLEDGE OF HONOUR (7pm).
The first runs in a Classified Stakes for 4yos rated 0-50 and this 48-rated daughter of Iffraaj is a course and distance winner and at the weights, would be one of the more likely winners. She has a good each-chance at 5/1 under Charlie Bennett.
The same jockey rides Dors Toyboy an hour later in a 0-52 handicap over7f. Again, a course and distance winner, he also has sound each-way claims at around 5/1.
Finally, Pledge Of Honour has Shane Kelly in the plate for an 8-runner 1m2f handicap and this well handicapped son of Shamardal has been well supported into 9/4 favouritism. He ran well over course and distance last November and has a favourite’s chance.
