“Major” (Thewayyouare x Major Minor)
THEWAYYOUARE yearling known as “Major” bought by Solario Racing for £18,000 has been backed and ridden away and is taking everything in his stride.
Today he was schooled on his own in the manège under stable apprentice Paul Booth and he looked like he’d been doing it all his life. Plenty of circles, figures of eight and changes of rein, it all came second nature to the son of the André Fabre-trained Group One winner.
“Major” (he’s out of a Desert Prince mare, Major Minor) as he’s known in the yard, has really settled in well since arriving at Harper Lodge Farm and the plan is to put him on the gallops in November.
Thewayyouare has made a good start at stud with three of his first four runners from his first crop winning as 2yos this season. One of those winners, Toast Of New York is trained by Jamie Osborne who paid 120,000 guineas at Tattersalls Book Two last week for a yearling by Thewayyouare.
