Fighting Temeraire – good chance at Newmarket
FIGHTING TEMERAIRE has a good chance of making it back-to-back wins when lining up for the 11-runner 7f handicap due off at 8.55pm at Newmarket this evening.
He won due to a great ride from Martin Dwyer nearly four weeks ago at Lingfield and despite going up 9lbs in the weights, he’s fancied to follow up. Fast ground is the key to him (contrary to what the Racing Post might say) and if it stays Good To Firm, he should go close at around 11/4.
The dangers look to be the favourite Angel’s Whisper and Coverham, who has a good turnaround at the weights with the favourite compared when they last met at Newmarket three weeks ago.
