Dean Ivory – winner number 33
TANGRAMM, having just his third start for Dean Ivory, won his second race in a month at Wolverhampton, when coming out on top in a ding-dong battle with runner-up, Call Me Crockett.
Having won a Classified Stakes over 1m 1/2f, the 3yo son of Sakhee’s Secret was stepping up to handicap company for the first time and also running over an extra furlong. He coped with both and the 2/1 jolly prevailed by a head under the very able Pat Cosgrave.
This was Dean’s 33rd win of the year at a healthy strike rate of 14%.
