TANGRAMM made it five wins in his last six races for Dean Ivory when first past the post at Wolverhampton yesterday by a neck under Robert Winston.
The 4yo son of Sakhee’s Secret has been a revelation since joining the Harper Lodge team towards the end of last year. He has had seven runs for the Radlett handler, winning five and being second twice. He started winning off a mark of 55 last November and his latest success was fifteen pounds higher at 70. As he only ever wins by small margins, it’s difficult for the handicapper to put him up too much.
Tangramm’s win was Dean’s eighth success of 2016 at a strike rate of 23%.
