Tangramm – big drifter at Wolverhampton
TANGRAMM won nicely at Wolverhampton last time out under first time blinkers and only up 4lbs and still well handicapped, he could have been expected to be a likely player in the 7.45 at Dunstall Park tonight but he is a huge drifter in the betting.
Selected by the Racing Post and put in at 4/1, the mount of George Downing is a general 11/1 chance which has to be of concern. He is drawn wide in 11 for the 1m 1 1/2 furlong contest but when he won, the runner-up was drawn 12, so it’s not impossible to win from such a draw.
The form of his win has worked out well and if he runs up to his last run, he should be in the thick of it but his price is alarming and not for the first time this year, Dean’s horses are running very in and out, mainly out. Hopefully, the market has got it wrong!
