Stake Acclaim – runs under a 6lb penalty

STAKE ACCLAIM is one of four stable runners today at Nottingham and he bids to follow up last Monday’s four length Windsor win under a 6lb penalty in the 3.30, a 6 furlong handicap.

The rains came in time for the 5yo son of Acclamation six days ago and today’s going, Good to Soft will suit.  There is no doubt the handicapper will put him up at least 6lbs for his facile success, so arguably he’s well in today.  At 5/1, he looks a good each-way chance under Robert Winston.

Bobby Vee (also Robert Winston) kicks off proceedings in the 2.55, a 5f handicap.  the lightly-raced chestnut filly handled soft going well on her juvenile debut, and she is weighted to run well at 8/1 in first time cheek-pieces.

Badenscoth is up five pounds for his second at Windsor 13 days ago on good to soft and this progressive sort also has each-way credentials in the mile handicap at 4.25 under Jack Duern.  Trip and ground are both in his favour.

Finally, Incredible Dream runs in the 5.10, a 1m2f handicap.  This is his handicap and turf debut and the Vale Of York 4yo gelding sports cheek-pieces for the first time, so one is guessing as to his chances.  Jack Duern rides the 14/1 shot.
