Luke Bacon aboard Dancinginthewoods – has his first ride in public today
STABLE apprentice, Luke Bacon, has his first ever ride in public today at Windsor in the opener, a 6f apprentice handicap aboard Soaring Spirits.
For young Luke, who received his jockey’s licence a few weeks ago, this is naturally a big day. He claims seven pounds and he will be up against some experience claimers, including Cieron Fallon, who has ridden 12 winners from 89 rides in his career to date.
Luke and Soaring Spirits are drawn in five and the 9yo chestnut, who has won 11 races but who has been out of form in his last three runs, is a 28/1 shot, so is probably best watched today.
