Dean Ivory – sends out six runners
THE STABLE sends out six runners today, one at Brighton and five at Windsor. They are Jack The Laird at Brighton (4.45 – 9/1) while the Windsor runners are Angel Of The South (6pm – 11/1), Dark Magic (6.30pm – 16/1), Harlequin Striker and Blaze Of Hearts (7pm – 14/1 and 10/1) and Cappananty Con (8.30pm – 101/).
None are favourites and it is difficult to pinpoint the best of the six. Jack The Laird with the inform Jack Duern is interesting if the new combination of hood and blinkers works. He’s not without a chance.
Angel Of The South runner-up twice at Windsor is in a very hot contest this evening but at 10/1 had solid each-way credentials. Dark Magic is a nice horse but this is his debut and he’s likely to improve for the outing.
Of the two handicappers in the 7 o’clock, preference is for Blaze Of Hearts as he has run well at Windsor while Harlequin Striker will probably not relish the Good to Firm going.
Finally, Cappananty Con is expected to run well in the 8.30.
