SPRING ROMANCE is one of four stable runners today at Lingfield and he aims to get back on track after a disappointing run at the track 30 days ago.
Today, at 1.35pm, he is one of 12 runners in a 0-75 handicap over 6f and is drawn well in stall six. Last time out over course and distance (over which he has previously won twice) he never fired and beat just one home.
However, at the time, the horses were not running at all well, so we should see a better display today under Joey Haynes. The horses is around 11/1 and has good each-way claims in a competitive heat which sees many dangers including Alfie Solomons, Real Estate and Liliania. Also, keep an eye out for Oberyn Martell, the half-sister to Solario Racing’s Wootton Bassett filly.
In the next race at 2.10pm, Sir Prize bids for his fourth win on the all-weather this year but his first at Lingfield, having won three times at Kempton. If he can transfer his form to the Surrey track, he’d be worth an each-way look at 8/1 in the 1m4f contest. Adam Kirby rides.
The other two runners, Rock of Redmond (1pm) and Laurentia (3.20pm) have it all to do. Sophie Ralston claiming five, rides both.
