Spring Romance – wide draw at Kempton
SPRING ROMANCE is drawn 10 of 11 in tonight’s 0-75 handicap over 6f at Kempton (7pm) and the “car park” draw is far from ideal for the five-times previous winner.
He’s a horse who prefers to dominate or at least be handy and that’s going to be a tough challenge for jockey Joey Haynes to get him across when the stalls open. If he breaks well, he looks a huge price at 20/1 and even with the wide draw, he should still run well from just a pound higher than his winning mark at Nottingham last summer.
Dangers include the favourite, Los Camachos, the well-supported Enthaar, the well handicapped Barrington and the lightly-raced Venture.
