SPRING ROMANCE HAS ANOTHER ZEBEDEE TO FEAR!

Spring Romance - back at Wolverhampton

Spring Romance – back at Wolverhampton

SPRING ROMANCE, winner of four of his six starts this year and up 30lbs in the handicap, runs at Wolverhampton tomorrow in a five-runner six furlong handicap and he could have his work cut to beat another Zebedee progeny, the market leader, Super Florence.

The Iain Jardine-trained filly thrashed her rivals by seven lengths at Catterick last Wednesday and she runs off an 8lb higher mark, including a 6lb penalty.  However, she’s gone up 11lbs in future handicaps, so is theoretically 3lbs well in.  She should take all the beating.

Spring Romance, again ridden by Jack Duern, is dropping in back in grade and is a course and distance winner, so he shouldn’t be far away at around 5/2 but it will probably be his toughest task to date on the all-weather.  While not a two-horse race, it could end up being a duel between the Zebedees!

Dean also runs Gregorian Girl (Robert Winston) in the 5.50 at Dunstall Park, a 7f median auction maiden.  On the face of it, she showed little when ninth of ten on her debut at Chelmsford over the same trip but she has plenty of ability.  Her future probably lies in handicaps and the 40/1 chance may struggle tomorrow to beat the likes of Barasti Dancer and Jungle Juice.
