SPRING ROMANCE goes back to Wolverhampton today (6.10pm) for a 6f handicap in first time blinkers and the hope is returning to a track he likes in new headgear will spark a revival.
He has run three times at Dunstall Park, all as a 3yo and his form figures read 122. Today, he runs in first time blinkers and he has a favourable draw (3 of 13) with a new jockey, George Downing on board. The five-times winner has become rather lazy on the track this year and we’re trying a combination of what we know peppered with something different.
On his best form, Spring Romance would win. The question is will this 14/1 shot run to his best form? We’ll find out soon after ten past six!
It’s a competitive sprint and dangers include the Oisin Murphy-ridden Seprani, Lilkian and Marvel. Hopefully, “Neville” can spark a revival and spring a surprise!
Good luck to Solario Racing (Berkhamsted) owners, some of whom will be cheering him on at the track.
