SOARING SPIRITS is a law unto himself and who knows if he’s on a going day today in the 1.50 at Lingfield, an 11-runner 6f all-weather handicap?
Last time out, he spat the dummy out and was virtually tailed off at Wolverhampton under Jack Duern. However, the time before that he was a winner at Lingfield over today’s course and distance and there’s no doubt Robert gets on well with the horse.
Drawn six, if the horse breaks well, he could figure, off just a 2lb higher mark than when last winning. However, if he gets left behind, life will be difficult! Either way, the 12/1 shot probably has it all to do to beat the hot favourite, Vixen.
