Robert Winston – rides two for Dean Ivory
DEAN IVORY runs Spinning Rose and Catharina in the same race again, a selling handicap over 10f on the all-weather at Lingfield (3.50pm).
The two were first and second last month at Lingfield on the turf with the 20/1 outsider of the two, Catharina winning by six lengths. Today, she is nine pounds worse off and as Spinning Rose is the least exposed runner in the field and she has first time blinkers, she may turn the tables.
Robert Winston is aboard Spinning Rose who is around 9/1 while Renato Souza, who won on Catharina (a 20/1 shot) keeps the ride. It’s a tricky call but Spinning Rose might be worth an each-way look.
Robert then travels across to Sandown for the evening ride on Firmdecisions, an eight runner 7f handicap due off at 7.35pm. The son of Captain Rio has been out of sorts this season in two outings but he is a pound below his last winning mark and he looks overpriced at 14/1.
