FLAMING SPEAR may not be the force of old but he is well handicapped and he has good form on Tapeta with two wins out of two races on the surface, so he should go well in the 7.05 at Wolverhampton tonight, a 7f handicap.

Once rated 110, he’s now 30lbs lower and the joint-weight in today’s 11-runner contest, having threatened to win this year, could regain the winning thread.

Sophie Ralston claims 5lbs and the pair are drawn in six which is okay.  At 13/2, the son of Lope De Vega looks good each-way material.  Dangers include Radetsky and Shaykhoon.
