SOLARIO RACING DAY AT NEWBURY A BIG HIT

SOLARIO RACING hosted a day at Newbury races yesterday, the first day of the Weatherby’s Super Sprint Meeting and a great day was had by all.

We had two tables in the Racegoers Restaurant for the whole afternoon in prime position next to the glass frontage.  This made going out onto the balcony for the races really easy for the owners of Red Cossack and King’s Concerto (not forgetting some Cropredy Lawn Racing owners).

Yours truly ran a tipping competition for the Owners so before the three course champagne lunch, it was heads down in the racecard to try and find those winners.

The viewing at Newbury is second to none and there were some tight finishes to enjoy, none more so than in the feature race, the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes, in which the jolly, Tasleet prevailed by a neck over Madrinho.

Call it beginner’s luck or woman’s intuition but the runaway leader in the Solario Racing tipping competition was a newcomer to racing, Jackie Sullivan who led from start to finish and she went home a few pounds richer!
