SOLARIO RACING has enjoyed a marvellous season to date with Spring Romance and Don’t Look Down earning prize money in all of their nine races!
Spring Romance owned by Solario Racing (Berkhamsted) started the ball rolling with an emphatic win on his handicap debut at Wolverhampton over six furlongs back in early February.
In seven races, he’s won four including two at Lingfield over six on the all-weather but just to prove he’s not just a one-trick all-weather pony, he won at Windsor on the turf over the minimum distance. Not only was it a memorable performance to win coming from off the pace with a great turn of foot inside the final furlong but it was in the Solario Racing Personal Racehorse Syndication Handicap!
The 3yo son of Zebedee ran a great race to be fourth at Newmarket while he also notched up two seconds at Wolverhampton. The horse has gone up 32lbs in the handicap and is now rated 77. On the go since last November, he’s now enjoying a well-earned holiday in the paddocks.
Don’t Look Down, another 3yo, is by contrast bred to get a trip being by Aussie Rules out of a Rainbow Quest mare. He has had two races to date and earned prize money for his owners, Solario Racing (Tring) on both occasions.
Dunstall Park has been a happy hunting ground for Solario Racing in 2018 and Don’t Look Down aka “Bruce”, ran a great race to be 4th on his debut at the Midlands track over 1m 1 1/2 furlongs. Stepping up in trip last Friday to a mile and a half, he was third in a nail-biting finish, beaten a nose and a nose!
Don’t Look Down will look to get his nose in front before the end of the year and earn some winning prize money for his very enthusiastic syndicate.
