Eirene – runs in a Group 3 at LIngfield
EIRENE is one of eight lining up for the Group 3 RaceBets Million Chartwell Fillies’ Stakes and the seven furlong trip and soft ground should be ideal.
The daughter of Declaration Of War was second in a Group 3 at Doncaster last season, and that form gives her a good each-way chance today. Dane O’Neill rides her for the first time and at 8/1, Eirene has place claims at least. Dangers include Pretty Baby and Devant in a fascinating but tricky contest.
Kadrizzi appreciated the step up in trip to 9.4f last time out at Wolves and today, he is one of nine runners in a 10f handicap at Nottingham. Soft ground should suit and if the first time blinkers help, he looks very interesting each-way at 7/1 under jockey Pat Dobbs.
Finally, Sophie Ralston, fresh from last night’s victory on Nezar, has the ride on Villette in the lucky last at Ascot, a 10f handicap. Her 7lb claim will be useful and although the joint outsider at 20/1, do not rule out a decent run from the five-times winner who has a sporting each-way shout today.
