VARSOVIAN made it career win number six last week for trainer, Dean Ivory at Chelmsford and is now enjoying a deserved break in the paddocks.
Justifying the odds, the 5yo Refuse To Bend gelding was completing his hat-trick and winning his sixth race in his last nine starts since September of last year …and he hasn’t been out of the prize money in any of those nine races!
He has been a revelation since being dropped in trip to 6f and having started winning off 55, he has risen in the handicap by over two stone to 87!
Dean has a knack of purchasing well-bred horses who have been rejected by the bigger battalions. Varsovian bred by Darley cost just £5,500 as an unraced 3yo in the autumn of 2013. Stable star Tropics cost just 2,500 guineas as an unraced 3yo, has won £341,000 in prize money and is rated 115.
