Shankill Star – has her first run for the yard
SHANAKILL STAR is the stable’s only runner today and the 5yo mare makes her first appearance for the yard in the 12.50 at Lingfield and faces a stiff task from out of the handicap.
She has only had three runs and is rated 37 but runs off a mark of 46 in the 0-65 handicap for 4yos+ over 1m2f. Today is a fact-finding mission regarding trip (she is being markedly stepped up in distance) and we will know more about the daughter of Shanakill after today’s race.
The 50/1 reflects her chances and a more likely contender for the Winner’s spot is Global Wonder or Turn Of Luck.
