SEPTEMBER BLAZE CHANCE TO GET OFF MARK AT TOWCESTER

SEPTEMBER BLAZE has the opportunity to get off the mark today at Towcester in a mares’ handicap chase due off at 3.05pm.

Paul Webber made the perfect start to the year with a winner from his first runner of the year, courtesy of Royal Debutante at Ludlow and today September Blaze could go one better than her second last time out.  She handles today’s heavy going and the trip of 2m 3f 179yds should also suit.  At a top price of 10/3, she looks worth chancing under Charlie Poste in an open-looking five-runner contest.

Paul also runs Maetrufel Annie in a near two mile novice hurdle, half an hour earlier at 2.35 but this 100/1 shot looks to have a lot on her plate.

Dean Ivory’s Justice enters handicap company for the first time today when one of eleven runners in the 7f handicap at Lingfield (3.20pm).  Stepping up to 7f could help but the draw of 10 is not ideal.  Jimmy Quinn rides and 20/1 looks too big a price, so a second each-way look may not go amiss for a runner from a yard bang in form.
