Chiltern Secret owners celebrate over lunch
THE owners of the Sakhee’s Secret filly in the Solario Racing (Latimer) syndicate assembled at Bowstridge Farm Stables yesterday for their Naming Day. All the votes had been counted and by a five point margin, the name Chiltern Secret was a comfortable winner.
While not all owners could make the day, there was a strong Celtic contingent present with owners from Scotland, Ireland and Wales in attendance.
The weather was somewhat indifferent with frequent squally showers but that did not stop the owners’ enthusiasm in watching the filly going through her paces on the gallops. After a photo-shoot in the indoor school, during which she was very well behaved, the syndicate toasted Chiltern Secret over a glass or two of champagne before adjourning for lunch with Martin and Sarah and Solario Racing at The Apple Tree in Gerrards Cross.
The food was excellent, the wine flowed and there was plenty of plotting Chiltern Secret’s future. Even the Abbaye was thrown into the mix!
Talk of Group Ones may be a tad premature but there is no doubt the syndicate has a potentially nice filly on its hands.
