SAKHEE’S SECRET had his first winner on Friday when Tommy’s Secret won comfortably at the second time of asking by two and and three-quarter lengths at Goodwood for trainer Jane Chapple-Hyam.
This was the 2007 July Cup winner’s 10th runner and it was only a matter of time before the first season sire struck. This was probably Sakhee’s Secret’s cheapest offspring as he was a 1,000 guineas vendor buy back. Winning over 5f, the horse will be aimed at the Ascot Sales race over 7f.
A week previously, Rhamnus, a 28,000 guineas Sakhee’s Secret colt trained by Richard Hannon was second at Newmarket over 6f in what looked a decent maiden. He looks a very nice prospect.
There are some 90 Sakhee’s Secret 2yos and Solario Racing has a very exciting filly among them available in 1/12th shares. She cost just £8,000 but on the evidence of her eye-catching homework, she may well belie her sales price.
There are limited shares available, so if you wish to get involved, please call the Racing Office on 01442 877 597 or Racing Manager, Simon Double on his mobile (07769 183 362) to arrange a private viewing.
