ROMAN SENATE was withdrawn last week from his intended seasonal reappearance at Warwick and now heads to Yarmouth in two weeks time.
The son of Holy Roman Emperor was declared a non-runner due to the change in going. Heavy rainfall overnight and during Bank Holiday Monday meant the ground was officially Soft during the course of the afternoon and we know from last year, he does not appreciate easy conditions underfoot.
So, it’s off to the Norfolk coast for “Ben” who will be entered again in a 3yo only handicap over a mile. He’s in good order at home and we are looking forward to seeing him back on the racecourse.
In the meantime, we have a busy time at the stables during the coming fortnight with two Naming Days for the Sakhee’s Secret filly and the colt by Indesatchel. However, there are limited shares available, so if you would like to see them on the gallops, please call the Racing Office on 01442 877 597 to arrange a private viewing.
