ROMAN SENATE FOURTH ON SEASONAL REAPPEARANCE

Roman Senate (No. 10) finishing fourth at Kempton

ROMAN SENATE was Solario Racing’s first runner of 2013 yesterday and the 4yo son of Holy Roman Emperor ran a fine race on his seasonal reappearance to be fourth at Kempton Park.

Despite an absence of 93 days and a wide draw (13 of 14), he ran a race full of promise and while looking as though he might be swallowed up in the home straight, he battled on well to take fourth, beaten just three lengths under a fine ride from Martin Lane.

There is no doubt he will come on for the outing and while he was stepping up in trip for the first time to 1m3f, judging by yesterday’s run, he’ll stay further.  As he seems to like Kempton Park (a second and two fourths from three runs) the plan is to go back there later this month.
