REVIEW OF THE WEEK: THREE SECONDS IN QUIET WEEK

Cappananty Con – won prize money in the Super Sprint

DEAN IVORY had a relatively quiet week with just seven runners and although no winner, three were second.

Bobby Vee filled the runner-up spot in just her third outing when beaten four lengths in a six furlong maiden at Lingfield. Jack The Laird continues to hold his form well and he was second in a 5f handicap at Yarmouth, beaten just one and a quarter lengths while Sirius Prospect was second of three in a 7f Conditions event at Haydock.

Rosie's Premiere - runs at Windsor

Rosie’s Premiere – runs at Windsor

Spinning Rose earned prize money for coming fourth in a 10f handicap at Lingfield while 100/1 shot, Cappananty Con ran a cracker to be 10th in the Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury and also collected nearly £2 1/2k in prize money.

Today, Dean runs two at Windsor, both ridden by Robert Winston.  Blaze Of Hearts lines up in a 10f maiden at Windsor (6.15pm) for which he is a 100/1 and Rosie’s Premiere, who is handicapped to have a say in the 5f handicap, runs at 7.50pm.  There is a doubt if the Showcasing filly is ideally suited by the minimum distance, a trip over which she has won twice but that was in her 2yo days.  If the drop back in distance, suits, she would have an each-way shout at 11/1.
