RED COSSACK, one of three stable runners today at Lingfield, when lining up for the 1m2f handicap at 2.10pm has been well supported.
He ran well after a year off when having his first run for Dean last month at Wolverhampton over 1m 1/2 furlong, looking as if the step up in trip would suit. Drawn well in one today, he has a good each-way chance at around 8/1 under Jack Duern.
First off for the yard is Six Strings in the 12.10, a mile handicap and again the horse ran well in its first run for the stable, when beaten four lengths at Chelmsford at the back end of November. If he stays a mile, he could well under Robert Winston and has each-way claims at around 17/2.
Finally, Sir Prize is another with an each-way shout at 2.40 at 10/1 in a 1m2f handicap. This is the son of Sir Percy’s first run in a handicap and although drawn wide (10 of 10), he too has an each-way shout under Robert Winston.
