Jack Duern – rides Red Cossack
RED COSSACK is the yard’s sole runner today, when one of eight runners at Chelmsford (8pm) and Dean applies cheekpieces for the first time in an attempt to get the horse’s head in front.
The eight-year-old chestnut has been knocking at the door over various trips and today is over 1m2f. Jack Duern is back on board and claims three pounds and if the headgear has the desired effect, he would have sound each-way claims.
At around 8/1, “Rebel” may be worth one more each-way chance. Arlecchino’s Arc and Prerogative rate two of the main threats.
