THE HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR yearling colt was today made eligible for all Plus10 races, winners of which earn a £10,000 bonus.
This exciting new initiative by the British Horseracing Board offers an additional £10,000 to the winner of “All Class 2, 3 and 4 Maiden, Novice and Conditions and Class 5 Fillies Only Maiden and Novice races” for 2 and 3yos.
To quote the BHA further, “The bonus is shared between a horse’s registered owner, the payers of the scheme’s first two registration stages – typically the breeder and in some cases pinhooker – and trainer, jockey and stable staff.
Once fully operational in 2016, Plus 10 will be the richest, multi-jurisdictional scheme of its kind, offering more than £5.5 million in bonuses across about 550 races in Britain and Ireland.”
Holy Roman Emperor was a smart dual Group One winner who has sired the winners of over a 1,000 races. So to ensure the Solario Racing colt’s eligibity was as they say, “a no-brainer”!
