PENNIESFROMHEAVEN is one of three stable runners today and looks the pick of the three as the juvenile filly seeks to improve upon her debut third and become the yard’s first 2yo winner of the season.
She is one of 10 runners in the 5f novice stakes, is drawn two, has Franny Norton on board and is the form pick of those the thee who have run. Of the newcomers, Daphinia has been well backed but at 3/1, the Ivory runner looks worth a second look.
All-weather specialist, Tangramm has to defy a three-month absence when lining up at Lingfield in the 3.05, a 1m2f handicap. Despite the booking of Dane O’Neill, the horse is weak in the betting and is out to 11/1. Mouilee Point and Secret Return look the dangers.
Finally, Madame Dragonfly makes her debut in a 6f fillies’ novice event at Dunstall Park (8pm). Lack of experience and a wide draw will make it tough for the Intelloo 3yo and she is very weak in the market at 80/1. It would appear she has it all to do and market leaders Tivoli and Hermosita, both last-time out winners look more convincing. Rob Hornby rides the stable runner.
