Stake Acclaim – runs at Chelmsford
STAKE ACCLAIM, a former classy sprinter, winner of six races and once rated 105 is a shadow of his former self and is difficult to fancy in the 4.40 at Chelmsford today.
He’s one of just eight runners in the 5f handicap but is very weak at 20/1 under George Downing. Tumbling down the weights and now on a mark of 73, he’s thrown in on his best form but there have been only glimmers of him coming back to form of late. Spiriteg Guest and Shamshon look more likely winners.
