ONE COOL DADDY has been very supported in the 7.10 at Windsor this evening in a mile handicap in which stablemate, Lothario is quite weak.
The 4yo son of Scat Daddy is as low as 7/1 now, having been three times that price last night. He is only just bigger than Lothario who is a general 6/1 shot, having started off at 4/1.
Robert Winston is aboard the lightly raced One Cool Daddy, who won on his debut over a mile at Kempton last year before being runner-up to a John Gosden horse, King’s Shield who went on to be rated 107. While the yard’s runner has disappointed twice this year, he now has first-time blinkers and the money would appear to be significant. Yesterday, another Scat Daddy, Daddy’s Daughter won for the stable, so hopefully another of his progeny can oblige for the same connections.
However, Lothario, the mount of Martin Dwyer has been in good form, winning two of his last four and he should not be discounted. Both horses have each-way chances.
Earlier at Windsor, Billy Button lines up for an eight-runner 5f novice at 6.10pm and after fading in a 6f novice at Chelmsford, the drop back to the minimum distance could help. He’s a big price at 20/1 and looks to be good each-way value under Martin Dwyer. Shammah, Newyorkstateof mind and newcomer, Passing Nod look the main dangers.
Finally, at Nottingham, Tangramm is one of just five runners in a 10f handicap due off at 7.20pm. Last time out he was second on just his third run on the turf at 50/1. While today’s heavy going may not suit, he’s a big price at 7/2 and could go close under Ryan Tate, who rode him last time out.
