NO EASY TASK FOR SPRING ROMANCE

Spring Romance - chasing fourth win

Spring Romance – chasing fourth win

SPRING ROMANCE seeks his fourth win in five starts this year when lining up for the 0-75 3yo only handicap at Lingfield today but it’s a tricky contest.

He is drawn well, three of seven but is effectively six pounds higher than for his Windsor win as Jack Duern is unable to ride.  Robert Winston is of course a more than able deputy and the son of Zebedee, a 7/2 shot, has as good as claims as any of winning.

However, the yard has been quiet during the last two and a half weeks and Spring Romance does need to improve again to win.  Prevent, the Khalid Abdullah horse has been well supported and is a major threat while all of the field, maybe except for outsider, Jonnysimpson, would have a chance.  Hopefully, “Neville”, a course and distance winner, can make it win number four!

Incredible Dream is a 50/1 shot in the 4.40 at Lingfield while Olive Mabel and Best Company are 16/1 and 33/1 respectively in the 9.10 at Wolverhampton, a 1m 1/2 furlong handicap.
