NEZAR goes in search of back-to-back wins when lining up for the opener at Lingfield today (12pm) and he looks overpriced at 16/1.
The 9yo chestnut won at Wolverhampton two weeks ago and although there’s no doubt he likes the course, having won four times there now, he does have some form at Lingfield and is only 2lbs higher than his mark last time out. Sophie Ralston does not ride as she’s currently riding in Cyprus but Dean’s other apprentice, Luke Bacon is in the plate claiming 7lbs.
It’s a competitive 7f handicap and includes Real Estate, won Spring Romance’s last race and is in search of a hat-trick but there would be worse 16/1 shots to back during the course of a season, so it may pay to have a second look at Nezar.
