LUCYMAI, who sprang a 50/1 surprise on her juvenile debut at Kempton last year and who has subsequently been third at the track, returns to her favourite course today for a 7f handicap due off at 6.40pm.
She is running off a mark of 74, a pound lower than her unlucky third at the track back in February. The daughter of Multiplex does have a 277 day absence to overcome but if she shows the form of her Kempton third, she could go close.
Ridden by Robert Winston, the filly is 7/1 and has most to fear from the well backed favourite, Encore Moi and second favourite, Palenville. Unfortunately, with three non-runners, only seven go to post but Lucymai might be worth chancing.
