LUCYMAI CHANCE AT HER FAVOURITE CHELMSFORD

Lucymai - at her favourite Chelmsford

Lucymai – at her favourite Chelmsford

LUCYMAI, who has such a great record at Chelmsford with four wins, two second and two thirds in ten runs, is one of seven runners in today’s competitive 7f fillies’ handicap (3.15pm) and the 5yo mare has as good a chance as any.

She disappointed behind one of her chief rivals today, Carolinae, back in June in a Listed event but her wide draw did not help.  She was well beaten that day and is 2lbs words off today, so strictly on those terms, she has it all to do to turn the tables

In a tight market, Lucymai is joint 7/2 favourite with Rock On Baileys, who is a previous course winner and who is chasing a hat-trick.  Jack Duern, who knows Lucymai so well is in the plate and the mare could bounce back in a tricky race to call.

Madam Dragonly is a 40/1 shot under Martin Dwyer in a 1m2f handicap at the Essex track at 5pm.  She needs to find significant improvement to trouble the judge.
